We will help you find the floor that best reflects your lifestyle, your home’s design, works with your budget, and will add value to your home.
Design Tip
White Oak is very popular right now, but red oak is a great alternative for some cost savings. R&Q Red Oak is a very beautiful floor and if you’re using a dark stain many people can’t tell the difference between the red or white oak.
Design Tip
Clear & Select grade presents a formal more traditional look to the floor. Natural grade is growing in popularity in all styles of homes, from very modern to rustic. The natural tree characteristics show the unique beauty only created by mother nature.
Design Tip
The cut is important as it effects the appearance of the wood, but even more importantly it effects how the wood expands and contracts with relative humidity & temperature. Rift & Quarter Sawn is more dimensionally stable option than plain sawn.
Choosing Widths & Lengths
Design Tip
Different widths, lengths, and patterns can be used in various parts of the house to help with budget. For example, many people will use the more expensive wide planks and long lengths on the main areas of the home. To save money you can use the same floor, but in a narrower width and shorter lengths in the bedrooms and closets.
Design Tip
Many customers take advantage of the ability to use the same wood through their whole house. They order both solid and engineered to keep the wood consistent and installing the solid flooring above grade and the engineered flooring in their below grade basements.
Design Tip
Adding a border or parquet in an entry way or office is a great way to really make your home unique. Our textured floors are a great alternative to very expensive reclaimed flooring.
Design Tip
We are connected to skilled NWFA certified installers across the country. We can help find someone to make your floor truly beautiful. Don’t settle for a cheap prefinish. Your floor is an investment in your home. The return on your investment of a site finish floor outweighs a cheap or mid-level prefinish product.
